A normal 16-year-old girl from Kansas who has suddenly found herself in the magical Land of Oz. She likes trying out sports until she gets bored of them and her dog Toto, and hates bullies. Toto is a good boy.

A scarecrow brought to life by the morally dubious Dr. Pipt. She's good-natured, trusting, loyal, and a bit naïve but oddly perceptive.

The West Witch of the Coven Empire, and youngest sister of the Coven. Her skillset involves combining magic and technology, which has proven extremely valuable to the Empire. As a result of her experiments, however, she has developed a rare non-contagious skin disease.

The Good Witch of the North and Commander of the Army of Revolt. She is charismatic, calming, and mysterious. With the power to conjure powerful near-unbreakable bubbles, her combat prowess is legendary.

The East Witch of the Coven Empire. Many years ago she was poisoned and lost her magical powers, creating her need for the Silver Shoes built by her sister Margham.

The High Witch of the Coven Empire, and the highest-ranking sister of the Coven. She's stoic, logical, and entirely focused on her larger goals.

The North Witch of the Coven Empire. She never had much aptitude for controlling her magic, but she's made up for that through vigorous study and experimentation involving potions. Her ability to create magical draughts is rivaled only by Dr. Pipt. She keeps a teenager named Tippetarius as her servant, who she openly mistreats.
